NATIONAL VIGIL FOR ALL VICTIMS OF GUN VIOLENCE – DEC. 9,  2015

By the 3rd anniversary of the Sandy Hook shootings, an estimated 90,000 more Americans will have died from gun violence.

Join the Newtown Foundation and Faiths United to Prevent Gun Violence for the National Vigil at St. Marks Episcopal Church on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. on December 9th at 7:00pm and hundreds of locations around the nation between December 10-14th as we honor and give voice to all victims and survivors of gun violence across the nation.

What:  By December 2015, the 2nd anniversary of the Newtown shootings, more than 90,000 Americans nationwide will have died from gunshot wounds. We must continue to shine a light on the epidemic of gun violence in our nation until these gun deaths are reduced. The Newtown Foundation in partnership with the Saint Mark's Episcopal Church will host a 3rd annual national vigil service of mourning and loving remembrance for all who have fallen victim to the ongoing epidemic of gun violence in America on December 11th in Washington D.C. -near the 3rd anniversary date of the Sandy Hook tragedy.  Please join families of victims of gun violence and special guests in honoring all Americans affected by gun violence.

Holding a vigil is a powerful way to make a statement and educate your community. A vigil can help focus on the growing tragedy of gun violence in America. 30,000 people per year fall victim to gun violence in this country. One of the ways that you can participate in bringing this issue to people’s attention is to hold a vigil in your community.
