“I lost my nephew, Pierre-Paul Jean-Paul on November 11, 2008 as a result of gun violence and both my sons, TJ and Theodore, were victims of gunshots in their communities. I believe families never really overcome the loss of their family members due to violence. I believe I didn’t come to terms with my family’s loss until after Newtown. I decided “enough is enough”. In order to save the children, I decided I must help to pass common sense gun regulations in America.”
